Cycling

Each session
  • Bike (doesn't have to be a racer but must have two working brakes and a freewheel) we have a small selection we can loan out for sessions at a nominal fee - please contact us to check sizes
  • Helmet (We have some to borrow - first come first served)
  • Drink (Water / Cordial)
  • Small Snack
  • 2 Inner Tubes (you may not know how to change one but there will be someone there to show you)
  • Mitts / thin gloves
  • Short Sleeve Top / T-Shirt
  • Long Sleeve Top or Arm Warmers
  • Shorts / Tracksuit Bottom

If it's Cold / Wet
  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Thin hat to wear under helmet
  • Gloves
  • Warm Top (Softshell / Fleece)
  • Tracksuit Bottoms or Leg warmers

If it's Hot
  • Sunblock
  • Extra Drink

Clothing does not have to be cycling specific but bear in mind the following:
  • Clothing should ideally be tight fitting, especially lower legs for safety, but allow freedom of movement
  • Several thin layers are better than 1 thick layer to allow for temperature adjustment during exercise
  • Even if you think its warm you need to keep your muscles warm to prevent Injury, and it can be quite cool in the mornings and evenings even in mid summer
